On the afternoon of September 21, a delegation from the Clausthal University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as TU Clausthal) visited the National Demonstration Base For Innovation Entrepreneurship of Superconductivity and New Energy Centre of the College of Electrical Engineering at Jiang'an Campus,and met and exchanged ideas with students of China-Germany Cooperative Education Program.
In the Centre for Superconductivity and New Energy, Associate Professor Wang Peng of the Collegeof Electrical Engineering gave a detailed explanation of the laboratory equipment and experimental teaching conditions for the delegation of TU Clausthal, and discussed with the delegation members about the practical application and development status of key insulation technologies in the fields of new energy vehicles, wind turbines and other fields.
Next, accompanied by Zhang Yingmin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and administrative teachers of the Project Office, the TU Clausthal delegation met with the students of the sino-german program class of 2022 and 2023.
At the meeting, Zhang Yingmin extended her warm welcome to the delegation of TU Clausthal, expecting the two universities to share the important task of giving full play to the resource advantages of both sides in the field of electrical energy, and constantly improve the project cooperation and exchange platform.
Prof Leonhard Ganzer,director of the Institute of Underground Energy Systems of TU Clausthal, introduced the study and living environment of the university to the students and answered their questions about the selection and examination system ofthe university, the local humanistic culture, etc. He is looking forward to meeting with them in TU Clausthal soon.
After the meeting, Zhao Yuhui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Electrical Engineering, had an exchange talk with Prof Hou Zhengmeng and the delegation. Zhao Yuhui, on behalf of the college, welcomed the delegation from TU Clausthal, saying that under the joint efforts of the two universities and relevant colleges, the project has been running smoothly and achieved good results, and he expected that the two sides could take this cooperation project as a new beginning to further broaden and deepen the cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, and international exchanges, etc. During the exchanges, the two sides discussed the teaching, learning, research, and international exchange. During the exchange, the two sides reached a preliminary consensus on teaching, scientific research and other work.
During the visit and exchange, the TU Clausthal delegation felt and experienced the local culture of Chengdu, understood the experimental and practical environment of the college, and further deepened the communication with the students of the programme, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation between the two sides in the future.
