The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, renowned as one of the four most authoritative global university ranking systems, has garnered significant attention within the global higher education community and society.
In recent years, our university's international influence has experienced consistent growth. In the most recent edition of THE World University Rankings, released on September 27, 2023, our University achieved a global ranking of 150th and secured the 8th position in Mainland China. This represents an impressive advancement of 46 places worldwide and 3 positions within Mainland China when compared to last year's ranking.
The latest edition of THE World University Rankings features a comprehensive list of 1,904 universities from 108 countries and regions. These rankings rely on an intricate evaluation system with 18 performance indicators distributed across five key dimensions: teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry engagement. These dimensions are weighted at 29.5%, 29%, 30%, 7.5%, and 4%, respectively.
