On April 26, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Sichuan University and the Chinese Academy of History(CAH) was held in the Haoran Hall of the Chinese Academy of History. Gao Xiang, vice president of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Chairman Wang Jianguo of the university council of SCU, Huo Wei, SCU’s outstanding professor, Vice President Yao Leye, and leaders of relevant departments from both sides attended the signing ceremony.

Gao Xiang, on behalf of CAH, welcomed Wang Jianguo and his delegation. He noted that SCU has a solid foundation in history, outstanding scientific research, and unique advantages in interdisciplinary integration. He hoped that the two sides would take this signing as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation and jointly contribute to the development of the studies of history , its academic system and discourse system with Chinese features.

On behalf of SCU, Wang Jianguo expressed his gratitude to CASC, CAH, and Vice President Gao Xiang in particular, for their strong support for the development of the university. He said that SCU would take the signing of the agreement as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with CAH in personnel training, historical research, achievement transformation, cultural inheritance and innovation so as to promote the high-quality development of Chinese historiography in the new era.

Li Guoqiang and Yao Leye signed the “Strategic Cooperation Agreement Between the Chinese Academy of History and Sichuan University” on behalf of both sides. All the attendees witnessed the signing of the agreement.
