On April 27, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions held a meeting to celebrate the International Labor Day, and the West China School of Medicine/West China Hospital of Sichuan University won theNational May 1st Labor Award. Zhang Wei, Party Secretary of WCSM/ WCH, took the stage to receive the award as the representative of the award winner.
Zhang Wei said, "Today, I am honored to represent WCSM / WCH to participate in the award ceremony of the National May 1st Labor Award. This is a great honor. The whole hospital will make concerted efforts and forge ahead to build a world-class hospital and medical school.”
Also, in the Great Hall of the People, the National Conference for Recognition of Advanced Female Workers(both individuals and collectives) was held on April 21st. The nursing team of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of WCH was awarded the "National May 1st Women's Model Post".
In addition, on the occasion of the May 4th Youth Day, the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Sichuan Youth Federation jointly awarded the 24th Sichuan Youth May 4th Medal. WCH’s COVID-19 vaccine research team is one of the award winners.
