Recently, the inaugural meeting and ratification of the national key project “Research on the technology and equipment to support high quality and efficient trials” opened in Chengdu. SCU Professor Zhu Wang of School of Law is the leader of this research project. Among the 50 people present at this meeting were the project consultative committee members, SCU Vice President Weilin Xu, Jiye He, Party Secretary of School of Law and other college administrators, Nan Liu, Vice President of Sichuan Higher People's Court, Yunhui Tian, Vice Director the Science and Technology Department of Sichuan Province, project leaders Professor Hui Yao, Professor Liping Zhu, Professor Bing Hu, Professor Yifei Pu and Senior Engineer Huifang Cheng participated in the meeting.

First, Deputy Director Yong Zou of SCU Scientific Research Institute introduces the leaders, experts and key team members of the project at the meeting. After that, Weilin Xu delivers a speech. Being a high-level research-oriented comprehensive university in West China, Sichuan University has a long history anda complete range of disciplines, which lays a foundation and provides a platform for interdisciplinary integration. SCU has launched the scheme to build a world “double first-class” university, and interdisciplinary integration is an important aspect. With interdisciplinary integration as a guiding element, SCU will formulate a scientific research locomotive, vigorously promote talent cultivation, and carry out enterprise cooperation and international exchanges. School of Law, College of Mathematics and College of Computer Science have joined hands in realizing the intersection of social sciences and technology sciences. It is an active exploration of the integration between “information + liberal arts”. Being a representative achievement, it is a milestone in the process of interdisciplinary integration.

The three colleges have worked closely with Renmin University of China and the China Judicial Big Data Research Institute to form a strong application team, which has laid the foundation for the future development of the project. SCU and all involved parties attach great importance and give strong support to this project.

Xiaoyan Wang, deputy director of the Information Center of the Supreme People's Court, indicates that the successful launch of the project is a glorious mission and a vital responsibility for the project team. In order to carry out the project thoroughly, we should pay close attention to actual investigation, search for difficulties, and carry out scientific research and innovation in combination with the court work.
