On April 18th , “2019 Famous Chinese and Overseas Enterprises’ Wuhou Visit” Investment Promotion and the Second “West China International Medical Wisdom Valley” Development Forum, sponsored by Sichuan University, Chengdu Wuhou District Party Committee and Chengdu Wuhou District People's Government, convened in the international academic exchange center of Sichuan University.
President Yanrong Li of Sichuan University, Min Wu, party secretary ofWuhou District Party Committeeand deputy director of the standing committee of the Chengdu People's Congress, Qingbao Niu, vice mayor of Chengdu and Lin Zhang, vice president of Sichuan University attended the event. Relevant departments of Sichuan Province, Chengdu City, Wuhou District, Sichuan University and responsible persons of contracted areas and enterprises participated in the event to seek industrial development and share development opportunities around the construction objectives of Wuhou District.
Li Lin, vice secretary of the Wuhou District Party Committee of Chengdu, Junbo Yan, co-chairman of Sichuan Chamber of Commerce, Lin Zhang, vice president of Sichuan University, and Qingbao Niu, vice mayor of Chengdu addressed the forum respectively. They indicated that through this activity, they would promote regional open cooperation, accelerate the agglomeration of leading industries such as big health, and serve the high-quality development of local economy. They would also strive to achieve win-win cooperation among schools, colleges, prefectures and enterprises, and contribute to the construction of an international business environment in Chengdu and Wuhou District.
Yanrong Li, Min Wu, Long Yin, assistant director of Sichuan Sanitation and Health Commission, and Youjing Huang, vice director of Chengdu Sanitation and Health Commission, jointly unveiled the nameplate “Health China Industry of West China”. It is a transfer and transformation base of health science and technology achievements of Dagucang Health Industrial Park and Big Data Building of West China International Intelligent Medical Valley. This has been an important measure for the government of Wuhou District since it signed strategic cooperation agreements with four affiliated hospitals of Sichuan University and to build an "International Intelligent Medical Valley around West China" in 2018.
At the subsequent signing ceremony of investment cooperation, a series of regional cooperation projects and major projects in Wuhou District were signed. For instance, the West China Hospital and the Second West China Hospital of Sichuan University signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co., Ltd., Southwest Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. of China Pharmaceuticals Group and Chengdu Yingmai Yacheng Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. Weimin Li, director of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and Ming Jiang, deputy head of Wuhou District Government, respectively recommended and introduced the resources of big health industry and the investment environment of Wuhou District. Paul Grundy, member of the Institute of Medicine, gave a keynote speech on the transformation of Patient Centered Medical Home health management service model. Bin Shen, deputy secretary of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, introduced the system and path of transfer and transformation of health science and technology achievements in West China. Stas Gayshan, founder of Cambridge Innovation Center(CIC), discussed the operation mechanism of the center and the cooperation between Chinese and American incubators. During the event, a forum on industrial development and exchange in Wuhou District will also be held, focusing on the development of modern health services, the construction of Internet + smart hospitals, the operation mechanism of Internet hospitals, the construction of integrated medical service system, the application of artificial intelligence in cancer prevention, and the topics of stem cells and regenerative medicine.
