The annual Sichuan Science and Technology Award conference was held in Chengdu on March 28. The meeting announced the list of winners of the 2022 Sichuan Science and Technology Award. Among them, two people won the 2022 Sichuan Science and Technology Award for Outstanding Contribution, and five people won the Sichuan Science and Technology Innovation Award for Outstanding Youth. Four international experts have won the Sichuan Award for International Science and Technology Cooperation, and 264 achievements have been recognized.

Wang Qi has long been engaged in the research and engineering application of new principles, new technologies, and new equipment for polymer materials processing. Over the past 40 years of systematic and in-depth research, she led her research team to solve multiple world problems in the field of polymer materials processing, making outstanding contributions to the scientific and technological progress, industrial innovation and development, discipline development, and talent cultivation of high molecular materials processing in China and Sichuan Province as well.

Wang Wei conducted research on controllable construction and performance enhancement of miniaturized functional materials using a microfluidic platform in response to the challenges in the field of new materials preparation. He proposed a new modular microfluidic technology that could control the preparation of new multiple lotion, providing a key technology for breaking through the difficulties in the field of microsphere manufacturing; The invention of a microfluidic chip for ultra-sensitive and fast online detection of lead ions combined with intelligent micro valves has promoted technological innovation in real-time detection of trace heavy metal ions.
