A special meeting to promote the joint construction of the Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory (Center for Frontier Medicine) with Chengdu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (CHTZ) was held in Mingde building, Wangjiang campus on December 28. President Li Yanrong, Cao Junjie, a member of the standing committee of the Chengdu municipal Party committee, Party Secretary of the CHTZ industry committee, and Yu Hui, director of the administrative committee of CHTZ attended the meeting and made speeches. The meeting was chaired by Ye Ling, an SCU administrator.

At the meeting, Peng Yong reported the construction of Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory (Frontier Medical Center), Zeng Ke introduced the promotion of the cooperation project between Sichuan University and CHTZ, and Yu Hui read out the list of members of the Party committee, academic committee, council and laboratory operation team of the Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory (Center for Frontier Medicine).

Cao Junjie said in his speech that the Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory project is of great significance and has a long way to go. CHTZ will vigorously support the construction, join hands with Sichuan University to build the Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory into an open talent platform, open R&D platform and open resource platform.

In his speech, Li Yanrong welcomed Cao Junjie and his delegation and thanked the CHTZ for its long-term support to Sichuan University. He said that the Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory (Center for Frontier Medicine) is an important part of Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory, which has a good foundation and early accumulation. It is one the best laboratories with the most distinctive features and potentials in the Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory. In the next step, we both need to continue to expand the scale of laboratories and strengthen the upstream and downstream related industrial systems. Second, we should gather first-class talent in important directions, and we must entrust important things to the right people, or else it will cause delay in personnel and business. The third is to further refine and focus on the direction, and strive to build the frontier center into a first-class center with prominent highlights, distinctive characteristics that can serve as a domestic and international demonstration base so as to contribute the strength of Sichuan University and Chengdu to a healthy China.
