The finals of the 7th China International College Students’ Internet Plus Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held at Nanchang University from October 12 to 15. Our university has won 6 gold and 2 silver medals, ranking fifth in the country, and the number of medals has reached a record high. SCU students won a gold medal in both the undergraduate creativity group and the newly set up industrial track group . In the competition of "youth's red dream journey", SCU students won two gold medals at one fell swoop, a breakthrough of our university in this competition. Being the only project that made it to the top three in the main track competition, “Jing-ying-qiu-jing” ranked the sixth place nationwide, the best result that SCU has ever had in this competition.
SCU takes the Internet Plus college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship competition seriously. 604 innovation teams and 3,924 individuals have signed up for the competition since April when the competition kicked off. The university has made arrangements for 73 off campus tutors from 12 national innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration bases to help about 4,800 people in our university's innovation and entrepreneurship projects. As a result, eight projects entered the national finals.
China International College Students’ "Internet plus" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was spearheaded by Premier Li Keqiang, and 12 central and local governments including the Ministry of Education are the sponsors of the innovation and entrepreneurship competition. This year marks the 7th China International College Students' ‘Internet Plus’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.A total of 9.56 million students from 4,347 universities in 121 countries and regions have taken part in this year's competition, up by 51 percent from last year.
World-renowned universities such as Harvard University, Yale University, Oxford University, MIT and the University of Cambridge have sent students to participate in the competition this year, which has added to the international influence of the event.
