The 2019 State Science and Technology Awards Ceremony convened in Beijing on the morning of Jan. 10th. Sichuan University won five prizes.
SCU won two second prizes of natural science and one second prize of technological invention. As a result, Sichuan University ranks the 10th place in terms of the number of projects that have won national prizes, and the 3rd in the number of projects that have won the natural science prizes. In the two years of 2018 and 2019 combined, SCU have won a total of four natural science prizes, sharing the second place nationwide. Moreover, Sichuan University has participated in two achievements which won respectively one first prize and one second prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award.
