In order to deepen the reform of second-tier management at the college and research institute level, improve interdisciplinary integration and exchange information on "double first-class" construction, the World-Class University Construction Office (WUCO) hosted "Dachuan Forum: World-Class University Construction" (Phase I) on June 8 in the first meeeting room in Wangjiang campus administration building. The forum was presided over by Professor Zhong-ming Li, director of the World-Class University Construction Office. Present at the meeting were vice-presidents Weilin Xu, Bin Liang and leaders of relevant departments and colleges. The forum has invited Jie Yang, director of the Reform and Development Research Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University, to make a report "Double First-Class" Construction and Reform of Shanghai Jiaotong University ".

Mr. Yang introduced the experience of Shanghai Jiaotong University in the construction of a "double first-class" university. The report also focused on specific analyses and thinking in terms of first-class discipline construction, performance, reform and university cooperation. He also talked about the history and reform of the second-tier management model at Shanghai Jiaotong University.

Finally, Director Zhong-ming Li made a brief summary. He spoke highly of the forum,saying that with many real world cases, the forum could provide valuable experience for schools to deepen reform and speed up the construction of a first-class university.
