Clarivate Analytics has released its latest ESI results lately. The number of SCU disciplines ranking in the top 1% has reached 17, one more compared with last time. Environmental Science/Ecology has entered the top 1% for the first time. This number moves SCU one place up, sharing the 7th place among all the universities under “Double First-Class” construction. The total number of disciplines ranking in the top 5‰ remains 9, tied for the 9th place, which is one place down compared with last time. Besides, disciplines ranking in the top 1‰ remain 3, tied for the 8th place among “Double First-Class” construction universities. In this report, we have also compared and analyzed the ESI rankings of 42 “Double First-Class” construction universities in China for the reference of university administrators.
