Recently, QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), an international higher education consulting institution, published the Subject Ranking 2021. The Nursing Discipline of Sichuan University(SCU) was included into 101-150 worldwide.

With rapid development in recent years, SCU’s Nursing Discipline has gradually established an advantageous subject featuring“Chinese characteristics, SCU style and WCH brand”in the process of cultural inheritance & innovation and discipline construction. West China College of Nursing, SCU, concentrates on discipline construction covering cultural construction, nursing education, nursing research, supporting platform, international cooperation and social reputation. It has formed a high-end talent training framework with the nursing college as the platform, four hospitals as the clinical support and 15 teaching and research sections as the bridges. Also, it has established a discipline construction framework including“Head nurses of departments-Specialty head nurses-Specialty deputy head nurses”, with its aim of building a fresh force of integrated and innovative nursing discipline.

QS World University Ranking, together with the World University Ranking of Times Higher Education, US News World University Ranking and World University Academic Ranking, has been recognized as one of four authoritative world university rankings. QS Subject Ranking is released once a year, involving 51 disciplines. The measurement indicators include academic reputation (40%), employer reputation (10%), teacher-student ratio (20%), citation rate of each teacher (20%), proportion of international teachers (5%), and proportion of international students (5%). It is one of the rankings with the largest number of participating institutions and the widest influence in the world.
