Recently, the Hospital Management Institute of Fudan University released the rankings of Chinese hospitals in 2020. In terms of comprehensive ranking, West China Hospital of our university ranked second for 12 consecutive years, of which the scientific research scored full marks for 12 consecutive years.Thetop three in both comprehensive ranking and reputation ranking arePeking Union Medical College Hospital, West China Hospital andChinese PLA General Hospital (CPLAGH).

Gao Jiechun, head of the Hospital Management Institute, introduced that the number of evaluation experts has increased by 196 this year, and the total number was 4.6 times that when it was first launched in 2010. Finally, the institute received 3,678 evaluations, an increase of 316 over last year. The effective response rate is as high as 68.04%, which continues to lead the effective response rate of 33.5% in the United States with a history of 32 years of best hospital rankings.

Since 2010, the Hospital Management Institute has launched the rankings of Chinese hospitals and the rankings of professional reputation of specialties of Chinese hospitals in the previous year. The ranking and comparison can help establish a benchmark for hospital discipline development and benefit patients. It is also conducive to highlighting the domestic and international reputation of the hospital specialties.
