In order to further promote the research and the interdisciplinary development of combustion dynamics in China, the "combustion dynamics platform press conference" was held in Jinjiang Hotel of Chengdu on October 18. Le Jialing, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhai Gang, deputy director of the Department of Economic and Information Construction of Sichuan Province, Chu Liangyin, vice president of the University, Liu Chao, director of SCU’s Office of Scientific Research and Development, and more than 70 guests from more than 40 scientific institutes and universities including the Major Special Science and Technology Engineering Center, China Aerospace Science and technology Corporation, Aero Engine Corporation of China,China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, scientific research institutions and relevant universities attended the meeting. The press conference was presided over by Pang Guowei, Secretary of the Party committee of the School of Chemical Engineering of Sichuan University.
At the press conference, Chu liangyin, vice president of SCU, said that the university is a high-level research-oriented comprehensive university in Western China, and it has always played an active role in serving the national strategy and high-quality economic and social development while developing a world-class university. In recent years, Prof. Li Xiangyuan's team has taken the lead in preparing for the establishment of combustion dynamics center, which is committed to cultivating interdisciplinary professionals in chemistry, chemical engineering and aerospace power. The center has undertaken multiple major national science and technology projects. In collaboration with a number of advantageous institutes in China, it has managed to set up a combustion dynamics platform after tackling key problems for more than ten years.
Zhai Gang congratulated on the combustion dynamics platform. He said in his speech that today's platform release will certainly provide strong support for innovative research in the field of aerospace power. Relying on Sichuan Aerospace Power Innovation Center, Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Department will continue to strengthen in-depth cooperation with universities and scientific institutes in terms of infrastructure improvement and in-depth integration of industry, university and research.
Le Jialing briefly reviewed the development of combustion dynamics in China and expressed hearty congratulations on the platform. He said that today’s platform release indicates that China's core engine technology research and development has got its own combustion dynamics numerical platform, which will boost China's aerospace research.
Li Xiangyuan said that after more than ten years of research, the Sichuan University Combustion Dynamics Center has worked out major technical problems and built a combustion dynamics platform. This one-stop service platform is composed of three parts: combustion chemistry database, combustion reaction mechanism and combustion numerical calculation program. The release of the platform will provide key basic data for dynamic modeling, engine numerical simulation and fuel application.
