On May 11, 2018, Clarivate Analytics (former Thomson Reuters) released the latest ESI (Essential Science Indicators), Immunology of Sichuan University was placed in the top 1% of ESI for the first time. So far, the disciplines of SCU ranking in the top 1% of ESI have reached up to 16, tied for the 8th place among all the “Double First-Class” construction universities. Molecular Biology  and Genetics Science was firstly placed in the top 5‰, and the total number of disciplines ranking in the top 5‰ has risen up to 7, tied for the 13th among all the “Double First-Class” universities. Besides, disciplines ranking in the top 1‰ have reached 3, tied for the 8th among “Double First-Class” construction universities.
