Upon approval by the British Computer Society ( BCS ), Professor Zeshui Xu, a Changjiang Scholars Program scholar at SCU Business School, has become a BCS fellow of 2019.
With a worldwide membership of over 68,000 members in over 150 countries, BCS is an international learned society. It has granted 250,000 professional certifications in its industry worldwide. Consisting primarily of distinguished scientists and professionals, its objectives are to promote the study and application of communications technology and computing technology and to advance knowledge of education in ICT for the benefit of professional practitioners and the general public.The predecessor of BCS was the "London Computer Group" (LCG), founded in 1956. In the past 60 years, it has been at the forefront of computer development. It has played an important role in educating and training IT professionals, computer scientists and computer engineers, maintaining professional qualifications, certifying the status of licensed IT professionals and actively promoting the development and practice of the global computer field.
Being an IEEE fellow, IFSA fellow and IET fellow, Professor Zeshui Xu has been selected as Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers and included in The World's Most Influential Scientific Minds 2014-2018; and Most Cited Chinese Researchers (Ranked first in Computer Science, 2014-2016). He now is a member of editorial board, consultant editorial board, deputy editor-in-chief and editor-in-chief for IEEE, TFS, INS, KBS, INFFUS, FODM, IJFS, TEDE, JMLC, APIN and SSCI/SCI. He has published 12 monographs in English through Springer, 460 SSCI/SCI papers, and been cited over 50,000 times. His H- Index is 114.
