On June 26th , the Ministry of Education expert group came to investigate the construction of Bashu Cultural Inheritance and Innovation Base, a base of excellent Chinese traditional culture at Sichuan University.
In the morning, the group of experts visited the exhibition hall of folklore and stone carving art in SCU Museum of Humanities and History, and learned about the rubbings of Han Dynasty portraits and the life of ancient Bashu people.
After that, the group of experts went to the memorial exhibition of Sister Jiang to get to know the deeds of Zhujun Jiang, an SCU alumnus, and other revolutionary heroes in modern Sichuan Province.
In the Chinese Culture Research Institute, Dagang Shu, the executive dean, introduced to the expert group the construction of the institute and their research achievements on Bashu culture in particular. The experts indicated that Sichuan University has made copious achievements in the study of Bashu culture, which reveal the profound connotation and contents of Bashu culture. In the institute, the expert group also viewed the fan painting exhibition of Bashu Culture Research Society of Wenxin College and the Bashu calligraphy and painting exhibition of SCU Arts College, and talked with the students to find out about the construction and development of societies on Bashu Culture.
In the conference room of the Chinese Culture Research Institute, a symposium was conducted on the construction of Bashu Cultural Inheritance and Innovation Base. Among those present at the symposium were experts from the Ministry of Education, leaders of Sichuan Province Education Department, SCU Vice President Lin Zhang, heads and teachers of the Chinese Culture Research Institute, and leaders of relevant departments of the Publicity Department of CPC. The experts spoke highly of the achievements of Sichuan University in the inheritance and innovation of Bashu culture, and put forward many useful suggestions.
