President Wang Jinsong met with Prof. Ilya V. Vorotyntsev, Executive President of Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia; Prof. David Kerr of the University of Oxford; Prof. Chul B. Park of the University of Toronto, Canada; Prof. John Walter Downes of Life University of America and other distinguished guests who came to attend the University Immersion Program (UIP) in the VIP Hall of Wangjiang campus on June 25. Vice President Yao Leye and leaders of relevant units attended the meeting.

Wang Jinsong, on behalf of the university, welcomed and thanked all the guests. He said that Sichuan University gives high priority to international exchanges and cooperation. The university has heldthe UIP since 2012 to expand students' international vision and improve their international competitiveness. He hoped that the universities could take advantage of the UIP to further promote academic exchange, scientific research cooperation, and cultural mutual learning between visiting universities and Sichuan University, cultivating more outstanding talent.

The guests expressed their gratitude for the warm reception of the university and wished Sichuan University 2023 UIP a success. They look forward to further communication and cooperation with teachers and students of Sichuan University so as to achieve more fruitful results in talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, cultural exchange, subsequently ushering in a new chapter in international higher education cooperation.
