A ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement between the West China School of Stomatology and the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova(USMF) was held online on April 26th. Mustaya, Director of the Department of Medical Personnel and Policy Management of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova, President Emil Cheban of USMF, Wenbin Yan, the ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Moldova, Jinsong Wang, President of Sichuan University, Ling Ye, vice president of SCU and president of the West China School of Stomatology (West China Hospital of Stomatology) and other leaders of relevant units attended the ceremony.
Wenbin Yan, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy, congratulated the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two universities in China and Moldova. He pointed out that both sides have unique advantages in the field of education and research, especially in the field of dentistry. He believes that the two universities will take the cooperation agreement as a new starting point, deepen exchanges and cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, and other aspects, and promote the continuous deepening of bilateral relations.
On behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova, Mustaya congratulated the signing of the cooperation agreement. He pointed out that Moldova and China maintain good relations. Their relations have developed steadily and healthfully in various fields such as economy and trade since the establishment of diplomatic ties. The signing of the cooperation agreement is an important achievement of cooperation in the field of education between the two countries, which is conducive to further mutual learning and friendly exchanges.
On behalf of the university, Jinsong Wang, congratulated the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two sides, extended greetings to Mr. Mustaya and Mr. Cheban, and expressed gratitude to Wenbin Yan for his efforts in the cooperation between the two sides. He pointed out that the West China Stomatology is a golden brand of Sichuan University, and is the earliest dental hospital, dental school, and dental research institute in China. It is known as the birthplace and cradle of modern dental medicine in China. He hoped that both sides could fully leverage their own advantages and deepen exchanges and cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, medical services, and other areas so as to train high-level dental talent with solid professional literacy and international competitiveness, making greater contributions to the construction of a human health community.
Cheban, Ling Ye, and Solomon, the Dean of the School of Dentistry at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Moldova, respectively introduced the basic situation and recent development status of the two universities. They stated that they would further strengthen communication and collaboration, contribute to the oral health of the two peoples and the friendship between China and Moldova. Afterwards, they signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of both sides. According to the agreement, both parties will conduct substantive cooperation regarding talent cultivation, scientific research, management, and so forth.
