SCU’s seven teachers excelled at the finals(July 4 to 6) of the Sixth Sichuan Province UniversityTeaching Competition for Young Teachers.Dai Yingying of the College of Literature and Journalism and Zhu Guiquan of the West China School of Stomatology won the first prize respectively in the liberal arts and the medical group. Zhang Shuxin of the West China School of Basic Medicine and Forensic Medicine won a second prize. Ying Qianwei of the Business School, Xu Bin of the College of Mathematics, Zhao Xin of the College of Physics and Zhang Xiaolei of the College of Marxism won a third prize, and Sichuan University won the excellent organization award.

Our university sent seven outstanding young teachers to participate in the preliminary contest. A total of 259 contestants from 136 colleges and universities competed, and all SCU contestants were shortlisted for the finals. 93 teachers from 38 colleges and universities took part in the finals consisting of curriculum design, teaching demonstration and teaching feedback. SCU teachers exhibited impressive teaching level and well-rounded academic foundation, showcasing the morale and competency of Sichuan University young teachers.
Being held once every two years, this has been the sixth competition of Sichuan Province. It is one of the largest and highest level provincial teaching competitions with the biggest number of contestants. Winners will advance to the national university teaching competition for young teachers.
