A ceremony to launch a national key project “Polymer materials processing-structure-performance relationship high-throughput characterization platform based on advanced light sources” (2018YFB0704200) was conducted on September 13th. Professor Zhong-ming Li of the College of Polymer Science and Engineering is the team leader of this project, which is a core project of an important national research program called “Key technology and supporting platform of material genetic engineering.”
Among those attending this ceremony are the expert team, directors and officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the High-Tech Divison of Sichuan Science and Technology Department, Sichuan University Science and Technology Development Institute and the College of Polymer Science and Technology, leaders of various projects and so on.
Director Hai Huang of the High-Tech Department of SCU Science and Technology Development Institute makes an opening speech, asking each individual expert and each host unit of projects to provide guidance and support. He indicates that the university will see to it that each individual project goal be realized by implementing policies without reservation, strengthening project supervision and fund management.
Deputy Director Xin Yang of the High-Tech Division of Sichuan Science and Technology Department explains the project requirements. Mr. Fengtao Yi, a director of the Industry Development and Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, affirms that this project is advanced and innovative. As this is an urgent study, he expects this project to become a highlight in the special program of “Key technology and supporting platform of material genetic engineering.”
Hai Huang and Xin Yang announce the names of experts and issue certificates of appointment to the experts.
Professor Zhong-ming Li makes a comprehensive report of this project, explaining project design and task assignments, steps of project management and milestone plans, assessment and evaluation criteria, project organization and supervision measures, etc. Mr. Xinchun Lai, deputy director of China Academy of Engineering Physics, offers guidance and advice for this project and wishes this project a success.
Hong Zhang, Chief of Major Project and Base Construction of Sichuan University Science and Technology Institute, introduces project-related facilities and finance management. A discussion is held with regard to experts’ suggestions, project goals, milestone points and evaluation criteria and so on. The attendees have reached a consensus at length.
