On June 5, our university signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Electronics Corporation(CEC) in Beijing. According to the agreement, the two parties will carry out comprehensive cooperation in the fields of digital health, training of online information talent , industrial Internet, integrated circuit, etc. Yanrong Li, the president of Sichuan University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Dongchen Zhang, general manager of China Electronics Corporation attended the signing ceremony. Ximing Chen, deputy general manager of China Electronics Corporation and Lin Zhang, vice president of Sichuan University, signed on the agreement on behalf of both parties.
Yanrong Li said at the signing ceremony that Sichuan University is comprehensively promoting the integration of medicine and engineering. The university is focusing on the construction of the "5G translational medicine service platform" and the three cross research centers of "medicine + information", "medicine + manufacturing" and "medicine + materials". He hoped that the two sides would both benefit and make progress together in the research, development and application of digital health technology, health care big data, artificial intelligence and so on.
Dongchen Zhang said that in recent years, CEC has formed, through reform and innovative development, an industrial pattern of coordinated development of cyber security, integrated circuit, new display, high-tech electronics and information service. He hoped that both sides would give full play to their respective advantages, promote in-depth substantive cooperation in the field of digital health, and provide strong scientific and technological support for people's livelihood and the development of the digital economy.
In the meantime, a ceremony was held for the signing of a digital health cooperation agreement between CEC Data, a subsidiary of CEC, and West China Hospital, West China Second University Hospital, West China Hospital of Stomatology and West China Fourth University Hospital respectively.
