West China–Israeli Sheba Trauma Nursing Communication Meeting Was Successfully Held

On January 5th, 2022, the West China-Sheba Trauma Nursing Communication Meeting was successfully held online. Prof. ZHANG Fengying, the Vice Dean of West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University, Ms. ZHENG Zizi from International Office, and nursing teams from Orthopedics, Rehabilitation Medicine, Day-care Unit, Sports Medicine Center and Traumatology Center of West China Hospital, Sichuan University participated in the communication meeting. Mr. HE Haibo, the Acting Consul General of Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu, Ms. LI Shanshan, Director of Economic and Trade Affairs, Prof. Richman, Clinical Advisor and Ms. Keren Yaniv, Chief Business Officer from Sheba Global attended the conference. The meeting was hosted by Dr. QIU Chen, the Program Manager of International Affairs at West China School of Nursing, Sichuan University.

Mr. HE Haibo delivered the welcome speech. He pointed out that since the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between West China School of Medicine/ West China Hospital, SCU and Israel Sheba Medical Center, a series of exchanges and collaborations have been conducted in various fields. He fully supported more in-depth cooperation and exchanges in nursing between West China and Sheba.

Then, the nursing teams from Orthopedics, Rehabilitation Medicine, Day-care Unit, Sports Medicine Center and Traumatology Center of West China Hospital, SCU introduced their department advantages and cooperation intentions respectively, and conducted in-depth communication with experts from Israel Medical Center on future cooperation plans, including academic conference, online courses and specialized training programs, overseas clinical practice, and mutual exchange visits. Prof. Richman and Ms. Keren Yaniv showed high expectation of these collaborative projects.

The meeting successfully paved the way for exchanges between the two institutions, and a high degree of consensus on future cooperation projects was reached. Both sides will seek further cooperation in the field of Trauma Care, and strengthen communication in talent training, research platforms construction, disciplines development etc.
