On December 4th, Rector Wojciech Nowak of Jagiellonian University, Ms.Katarzyna, Consul General of the Polish Consulate in Chengdu, visited Sichuan University. President Yanrong Li met with the guests in the VIP meeting hall of Wangjiang campus. Directors of relevant SCU departments attended this meeting.
At the meeting, President Yanrong Li extends, on behalf of the university, welcome to Rector Wojciech Nowak and Consul GeneralKatarzyna and congratulations on the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two universities. After a concise introduction of SCU, President Li indicates that Jagiellonian University is a pretigious university with a long history, and it has cultivated a large number of well-known alumni. Sichuan University currently accelerates the construction of a world first-class university and treats internationalization as an important stratgy to boost the university’s educational capacity and influence. With this cooperation agreement as a new starting point, SCU will strengthen the exchange program of students and intensify the bilateral cooperation including teachers visit.
Rector Wojciech Nowak thanks SCU for its warm reception and congratulates on the signing of the cooperation agreement. He indicates that giving a high priority to internationalization, Jagiellonian University is actively promoting exchange and cooperation with prestigious universities in the world. This cooperation agreement marks a new step forward in the cooperation between the two universities. He further hopes that the cooperation will become better and better and produce fruitful results. Subsequently, President Yanrong Li and Rector Wojciech Nowak sign the memorandum of cooperation and student exchange agreement on behalf of the two universities.
