Forbes announced its first Women in Tech ( China ) on May 31st, and 50 Chinese women including SCU alumna Tan Li were on the list.
Being Graduated from Department of Chemistry, College of Chemical Engineering, Sichuan University, Tan Li is wife of Li Li who is an SCU alumnus and founder of Shenzhen Hepalink Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd.( Hepalink ). Tan Li is a board director and vice general manager of Hepalink. Both of them are the actural controllers of Hepalink. Tan Li and her husband Li Li established Hepalink in April 1998. Being dedicated to the research and manufacure of heparin sodium API, Hepalink has invented the core technology systems of heparin sodium, such as "impurity and combination separation technology", "group integrity protection and active release technology", which are the world's leading technologies. It has also estalished a comprehensive quality management system that conforms to the GMP standards of China and the cGMP standards and concepts of the United States and the European Union, and has successfully passed the pharmaceutical approval of FDA and CEP of the United States.
Forbes China sifts through multinational technology companies, local technology unicorns, investment institutions, government research agencies and other organizations. Only women who vigorously work in enterprises and technology can be considered for candidates of the list. In addition, a candidate must have an educational background in STEAM. The "Women in Technology” list aims to show women's remarkable achievements in science and technology, as well as the technological innovation, sustainability and impact on economic growth brought about by gender diversity. The launch of the Women in Tech is also the first time Forbes China has issued the list in China. The list includes 50 outstanding women, including founders, executives, front-line R&D engineers or technological innovation pioneers.
