On the morning of October 31, 2019, the 18th Sichuan Province Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award ceremony was held in Xinhua Hotel. Sichuan University ( SCU ) has received 72 awards and 142 teachers have been recognized for their achievements. Sichuan University ranks the first place in the number of prizes and prizewinners again. Of all the prizes SCU has won, there are seven first prizes ( which puts SCU in first place in Sichuan Province, and there are 20 first prizes in total ); 21 second prizes (out of 80 second prizes); and 44 third prizes (out of 300). Being established in 2000, Sichuan Province Outstanding Social Science Achievement Award is the highest prize and represents the highest level of social sciences in Sichuan Province. Giving out awards once every two years, this Award includes honor award, first prize, second prize and third prize.
