Thanks to the first phase of the development of “double first-class” status, SCU’s school-running level and ability have been significantly improved. The university has substantially contributed to the national and regional social and economic development and figured out a development path for universities in western China to build a world-class university. We have extensively investigated and studied the experience of world-class university development in inland China. Subsequently, we have formed, based on the western situation, a number of understandings on the law of building a world-class university in order to accelerate the transformation of "seeking strength by quality" from "focusing on quantity". This report is for the reference of the university leaders, colleges, schools and relevant departments.
