Clarivate Analytics (former Thomson Reuters) has recently released its latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) rankings. 14 academic subjects of Sichuan University are ranked in the top 1%, 6 in the top 5‰, and 2 in the top 1‰. Compared with the statistics in September 2017, the total number of academic subjects that are rated in the ESI Ranking has remained the same. However, the rankings of SCU academic subjects in the top 1% have changed. The ESI rankings of academic subjects at 42 universities under the construction of “Double First-Class” status nationwide are compared and analyzed in this report.
