The West China School of Stomatology joined hands with the First People's Hospital of Yuexi County and conducted a good-will campaign for children's oral health from February 20 to 22. The expert team, led by Associate Professor Yin Wei, went to Shugu Town, Yuexi County, Liangshan Prefecture to educate school children about oral health.

During the activity, 14 members of the expert team provided over1,000 pupils from four primary schools and one kindergarten with oral examination, health literacy assessment, post-meal mouth rinsing behavior development, tooth brushing guidance and fluoride application.They also established oral health archives for individual kids according to "one person, one file" requirement. The archives could document inspection results so as to give parents timely feedback. In addition, they handed out oral health supplies on the site, educated children about their oral health and correct dental health behavior, helping raise local children’s awareness of oral health.

The expert team of the West China Hospital of Stomatology genuinely passed on the idea of loving and protecting teeth to the children in Daliangshan, and promoted the dissemination and popularization of children's oral health knowledge during the campaign. The children all said, "I want to protect my teeth, brush my teeth carefully every day, and stay away from oral diseases."
