A few days ago, the final of the Fifth NationalTeaching Competition for Young University Teacherswas held at Nanjing University. A total of 162 participants from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps participated in the competition. The competition is divided into five groups, namely the liberal arts, science, engineering, medicine and ideological and political education; and the medical group is a new group added to this competition. After fierce competitions, Dongzhi Yuan, a young teacher of the West China School of Basic Medical Sciences and Forensic Medicine, SCU, won the first prize in the medical group, which is the highest achievement for our university.
The National Teaching Competition for Young University Teachers is a teaching competition created by the China Education, Science, Health and Sports Union and the Ministry of Education in 2012. The competition is held every two years. The contestants represent nearly half of all the universities nationwide, and the number of participants has reached over one million. Actually, it has become an important platform for young university teachers to exchange and showcase their teaching skills.
SCU teachers first won two first prizes, five second prizes and two third prizes in the teaching competition for young university teachers in Sichuan Province. Then, the first place winner of the provincial first prize was recommended to participate in the national competition. As a result, he has won the first prize, which is the best results of SCU in this competition.
