Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy (STTT) of West China Hospital was officially Incorporated in SCI

Recently, the English academic journalSignal Transduction and Targeted Therapy (STTT), co-sponsored by West China Hospital/State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy of Sichuan University and Springer-Nature Publishing Group, was officially incorporated in the SCI database. The first impact factor is expected to come out in June this year.

Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapyis a biomedicine journal published jointly by the State Key Laboratory of West China(Huaxi) Hospital and Springer-Nature. (Website: http://www.nature.com/sigtrans)

Being founded in 2016, STTT is among the first recipients of the funding of “China Science and Technology Journal International Impact Promotion Program” (Class D). The goal is to make it an internationally influencing academic journal which publishes not only oncology-related but also other major disease-related research in the field of signal transduction and targeted therapy.

STTT has established an international editorial board composed of Yuquan Wei, academician and professor of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Professor Kang Zhang of University of California, San Diego, Professor Carlo M. Croce of Ohio State University (academician of American National Academy of Sciences, former editor-in-chief ofCancer Research). At present, there are 87 editors from more than 10 countries, such as the United States, Australia, Germany, France, Italy and Japan, etc. Besides supplying high-quality papers, the excellent editorial committee has brought excellent reviewers to the journal. West China Hospital of Sichuan University, as the sponsor of the journal, provides a disciplinary platform and talent support for the establishment of the journal.

As of the writing of this report, STTT has been selected for coverage in SCI, Scopus, PubMed Central (PMC), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and BIOSIS and so on. The inclusion of STTT in SCI is of great significance in boosting the international influence of this journal.

In addition, STTT has been selected as "Q1 Journal of World Academic Impact" (A total of 80 Chinese sci-tech journals got included.) according to the WAJCI Annual Report recently published by the China Research Center for the Measurement and Evaluation of Scientific Documents.Two STTT papers have also been selected as "One Hundred Excellent Papers of Chinese Medicine in 2018". The Role of MicroRNAs in Human Cancer, published by Professor Yong Peng and Professor Carlo M Croce, has been cited more than 180 times since March 2016.
