On October 23rd, a ceremony was held to sign a cooperation agreement between Bank of China Sichuan Branch and Sichuan University in the VIP Hall of Mingde Building at Sichuan University’s Wangjiang Campus. This cooperation agreement was signed in support of SCU construction of a world first-class university. Present at the ceremony were President Guoyu Zheng, vice president Xiao Fu of BOA Sichuan Branch, President Yanrong Li and Vice President Bin Liang of Sichuan University, among others. Both parties had a talk about intensifying the cooperation between BOC Sichuan Branch and Sichuan University.
At the talk, President Yanrong Li expresses on behalf of Sichuan University his gratitude toward BOC Sichuan Branch for their on-going support to Sichuan University on all fronts. He points out that a university needs the support of financial sector represented by Bank of China. He expects BOC Sichuan Branch to remain a steadfast partner and provide more support and better services in SCU’s construction of a world first-class university with Chinese characteristics and an SCU style. He also hopes that BOC Sichuan Branch can intensify and deepen the bilateral cooperation.
President Guoyu Zheng stresses that BOC Sichuan Branch and Sichuan University have made profound achievements through cooperation in many fields since 2004 when the two parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement. He indicates that Sichuan University is one of the most important partners of BOC Sichuan Branch. With SCU’s development being high on its priority list, BAC Sichuan Branch will continue to deepen the cooperation and fulfill SCU’s needs in her construction of a world first-class university by providing tip-top financial services and products.
On behalf of Sichuan University and BOC Sichuan Branch respectively, Bin Liang and Xiao Fu sign on the agreement “Cooperation Agreement of BOC Sichuan Branch in support of Sichuan University’s Construction of World First-Class University”. According to this agreement, BOC Sichuan Branch will provide financial aids for teachers and students. In the initial phase, it will also help fund the construction of laboratories and laboratory buildings at Sichuan University.
