On the evening of April 29, SCU organized its 2022 May 4th Gala in the gymnasium of Jiang'an campus. Cao Ping, executive deputy secretary of the university Party committee, Vice President Liang Bin, Guo Yong, deputy secretary of the university Party committee, principals of the party and administrative affairs office, publicity department, secretaries of the Youth League committees of individual colleges, and student representatives, among others, attended the celebration.
The sonorous and powerful chorus "Qinyuan spring -snow" kicked off the gala.
Guo Yong read out the “Decision on commending the advanced collectives and individuals of the Communist Youth League of Sichuan University in 2021”.
Liang Bin presented awards to the winners of "Model Work of the Communist Youth League of Sichuan University", "May 4th Red Flag League branch of Sichuan University" and "Top Ten League Branch Secretaries of Sichuan University" in 2021. Meantime, Cao Ping presented awards to the winners of "May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee of Sichuan University" and "May 4th Youth Medal of Sichuan University" in 2021.
At the award presenting ceremony, Cai Xinyu, the award-winner representative from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Li Haichao, the award-winner representative of the " May 4th Youth Medal", young teacher of the School of History and Cultures and leader in charge of pits 5, 6 and 7 of the Sanxingdui Archeological Site, spoke briefly in an interview.
The students also meticulously prepared song, dance and poetry reading programs such as "the starting point of youth", "the ideal shines over China" and "Du He Yi Xiang". They paid tribute to youth in lively dances, demonstrating the strength of Chinese youth.
The festive celebration drew to an end in the song of "dream for the future", the signature tune of the 17th Challenge Cup.
