The concert kicked off with “My Motherland”, a piece that expressed the Chinese people’s deep affection for their beautiful motherland. Under the passionate command of Chao Xiao, a guest chief inspector, the SCU Symphony Orchestra performed a repertoire of both Chinese and foreign classical music successively. “Ode to the Red Flag” was resounding with heroic, inspiring and exciting rhythms. The familiar folk song "Jasmine", after new adaptation and interpretation, was more clear and fluent; the interlude of "Country Knight", with a slow and beautiful melody, infiltrated the heart like spring water. The fourth movement of string quintet "Trout", with a clear rhythm, was filled with the vitality of life. The Yining Xu’s violin solo Concerto in D Major, directed by Tianmu Wu was lively, novel and unique, winning the applauses from the audience. Tenor Shida Wang’s ”Shedding Tears" of the Italian opera "The Glycol of Love", aroused the strong emotional resonance of the audience. The concert came to an end in the chorus "My Motherland and I", and the moving musical notes reverberated over the stadium for a long time.
