Being organized by the Central Spiritual Civilization Office and the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, the on-site exchange of " China's Good Doctors and Nurses ", was held in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University on December 27, 2019. At the meeting, Professor Jin Liu, director of Anesthesiology Department of SCU West China Hospital, was elected the person of the month in November.
Jin Liu works in the Department of Anesthesiology of West China Hospital, which is dubbed the national " anesthesia aircraft carrier ". Under Liu’s leadership, the Department of Anesthesiology ranks first in anesthesiology of China’s Hospital Rankings by Fudan University for nine consecutive years. Mr. Jin Liu is a chief physician and doctoral students advisor.He is the chairman of Department of Anesthesiology and CCM,West China Hospital. In addition, He wasthe first president of Chinese Society of Anesthesiology of the Chinese Medical Association; chairman of the 11th Committee of anesthesiologist branch of Chinese Medical Association. He is also a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars Program. He is one of the Ministry of Health young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions. The Department of Anesthesiology, the Department of Critical Medicine and the Department of Pain, under his leadership, are all the key clinical specialties of the Ministry of Health ( the only hospital in China ). Being dedicated to scientific research and innovation, Jin Liu has presided over 19 national scientific research projects, including major new drug creation of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Moreover, he has obtained over 20 patents, four of which have generated 87 million Yuan. He has published 250 SCI papers with more than 3,000 citations. Last but not least, he is the chief editor of six monographs including " Chinese Transfusion Science ".
