Editor’s note: As per the request of the Ministry of Education, all universities directly under MOE submitted their 14th five-year plan by the end of April 2021. The World University Development Office(WUDO) has studied the five-year plans of other universities and worked out a summary report of the development strategies and features of ten first-tier Chinese universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University and Xi’an Jiaotong University. We provide this report for the reference of the university leaders.
