According to the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) rankings by Clarivate Analytics (former Thomson Reuters), Immunology of Sichuan University (SCU) is ranked in the top 1% for the first time. Thus, the total number of SCU academic subjects in the top 1% of ESI has become 16, placing SCU in the 8thplace of all the universities under the construction of “Double First-Class” status. Molecular Biology & Genetics is placed in the top 5‰ also for the first time, and the total number of academic subjects in the top 5‰ is 7, making SCU 13thplace of all the universities under the construction of “Double First-Class”university status. In addition, 3 academic subjects are ranked in the top 1‰, the 8th place of all the universities under the construction of “Double First-Class" university status. In this report, we have compared and analyzed the ESI rankings of academic subjects at 42 universities under the construction of “Double First-Class” status in China. This report is for the reference of SCU administrators.
