According to the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) rankings by Clarivate Analytics (former Thomson Reuters), Sichuan University maintains the same ranking as last time. Specifically speaking, the total number of SCU academic subjects in the top 1% of ESI has remained 16, placing SCU in the 8thplace of all the universities under the construction of “Double First-Class” status. And the total number of academic subjects in the top 5‰ is 7, making SCU 13thplace of all the universities under the construction of “Double First-Class” status. In addition, 3 academic subjects are ranked in the top 1‰, the 8th place of all the universities under the construction of “Double First-Class” status. In this report, we have compared and analyzed the ESI rankings of academic subjects at 42 universities under the construction of “Double First-Class” status in China. This report is prepared as a reference for SCU administrators.
