In recent years, SCU has vigorously promoted the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and it has established the "Chinese Culture Institute" and "Research Center for Ancient Characters and the History of Pre Qin". SCU has also created a series of platforms such as the "Ba-shu Cultural Base", launched the "Innovation 2035" pilot plan such as "Civilization Mutual Learning and Global Governance Research Plan". Furthermore, the university has selected Zhan Shichuang and Huo Wei as distinguished professors of liberal arts to give strong support to the research of traditional Chinese culture from the aspects of platform, talent, projects and funds. Last but not least, SCU has undertaken such major cultural projects as Ba-shu Quan Shu and Chinese Compendium of Taoist Works (ZhongHua Xu Dao Zang), actively participated in the excavation and research of the Sanxingdui Archaeological Site, started the revision of Oracle Bones Dictionary and The Great Chinese Dictionary, and promoted the development of first-class liberal arts with the strategic layout of "cultural excellence".
