On September 17, the Ministry of Education announced the first batch of bases for top-notch students training program 2.0 in basic disciplines, and 104 bases from 33 universities were selected. Five SCU bases have got included in the first batch. They are Mingyuan Academy– Mathematics Top-notch Students Training Base (Class Ke Zhao), Mingyuan Academy-Chemistry Top-notch Students Training Base, Mingyuan Academy-Biology Top-notch Students Training Base, Mingyuan Academy- Basic Medicine Top-notch Students Training Base (Class Huaide), Mingyuan Academy-Chinese Language and Literature Top-notch Students Training Base (Jinjiang Academy). Peking University has seven bases selected for the first batch, and Tsinghua University and other six universities have 6 bases selected respectively.
Symposium of the Life Sciences Top-notch Class
Sichuan University's top-notch students training program 2.0 has expanded and upgraded based upon the past ten years’ exploration. In addition to the above five selected national bases, five other disciplines, including Physics, Computer Science, History, Philosophy and Economics, also implement the top-notch students training program 2.0.
SCU’s top-notch program 2.0 will continue to tap deep cultural heritage, gather all kinds of high-quality resources, expand multi-party high-level cooperation, and nurture in the top-notch talent a global vision.
