Sichuan University and Wuhou District Science and Technology Achievements Transformation Meeting / Qing-Rong-Hui University and Enterprise Development ( a special session ) were held in Zhanye Building, Wangjiang Campus on March 18. Present at the meeting were Chuanhong Wang, member of standing committee of Chengdu municipal Party Committee and Secretary of Chengdu municipal discipline inspection commission, Lin Chen, Party Secretary of Wuhou District CPC Party committee, Li Lin, district head of Wuhou District government, SCU Chairman Jianguo Wang of the university council, Academician An-min Li, SCU Vice President Zhi Tu, SCU Vice President Liangyin Chu and other leaders.
Prior to the meeting, leaders attended the commencement ceremony to launch the project of " Technology Intersection and Transformation Center for New Economy ".
At the meeting, Liangyin Chu welcomed, on behalf of the university, all the people at the meeting. He also expressed gratitude toward the city of Chengdu and Wuhou District for their long-standing help and support. He indicated that SCU is striving to accelerate development through interdisciplinary integration and the transformation and transfer of science and technology achievements. The university focuses on key fields, such as “ medicine + ” and “ information + ” and forges a core scientific force that is in line with the local economic development in a new era. This meeting is a new platform that the city of Chengdu has set up for SCU research teams to make innovations in coordination with universities, local regions and enterprises. It also marks the commencement of SCU / Wuhou District science and technology transfer and transformation. It will surely facilitate the transformation of more SCU scientific research results in Wuhou District as well as Chengdu.
Yadan Zhang made a speech on behalf of Wuhou District. He said that Wuhou District and Sichuan University have had close cooperation in the construction of industrial functional areas, the incubation of new economy, and the transfer and transformation of science and technology achievements, etc. in recent years. Both sides have together promoted the construction of key projects such as the knowledge belt round Sichuan University, the technology intersection and transformation center for the new economy, achieving remarkable results.

After the launching ceremony, Office of Scientific Research and Development, Sichuan University, Chengdu Science and Technology Service Group and Wuhou New Economy and Science and Technology Bureau signed a framework agreement. Representatives of key science and technology projects of Sichuan University, Sichuan University National University Science Park, Wuhou E-commerce Functional Zone Management Committee, West China Health Industry Functional Zone Management and Wuhou Three Kingdom Creative Park Management Committee signed the project implementation agreement.
During the road show and docking link session, vice district head Ming Jiang introduced about the buildings and policies for the transformation of science and technology achievements in Wuhou District.Wei Tang, director of the district court, introduced about the protection of intellectual property in Wuhou District. Prof. Maokang Luo, distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars Program and winner of National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, gave a report of “Terahertz Medical Imaging and Diagnostic System ”. Dr. Mingyong Yin, SCU College of Cybersecurity, gave a demonstration of " Safe and Reliable Data Computing Platform ". Professor Jianshu Li, winner of National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, gave a demonstration of the project “ Polymer Materials and Medical Devices for Oral Medicine ”. Associate Professor Chunxiao Yuan of Business School gave a demonstration of " Cultural Innovation + Scientific Innovation - University Content-based MCN Service ". Afterwards, research teams and enterprise representatives exchanged ideas with each other.
