1030 Volunteers are recruited
The recruitment of volunteers for the Chengdu Universiade at Sichuan University started on March 5, selecting a total of 1030 volunteers, including 428 competition volunteers, 202 language volunteers, 175 performance volunteers at the opening ceremony, and 225 general guidance volunteers.

In training for professional knowledge and service ability
Starting on April 20, SCU volunteers have undergone four stages of systematic learning: general education, professional training, venue training, and key course reinforcement.They have mastered procedures and improved the basic knowledge of Chengdu Universiade, including foreign affairs, social etiquette, verbal expression, and first aid, etc.

Selecting volunteers of minority languages
Our school has selected volunteers of minority languages such as Japanese, Russian, French, and Spain to serve in the multilingual service center of the Universiade, providing interpretation services over the phone.

SCU’s international students to serve the Universiade
Many international students studying at Sichuan University from countries such as Colombia, Italy, Cameroon, Peru, etc. have also actively participated in volunteer services for the Universiade. They served as a volunteer for the Spring Meeting of the delegation heads of the 31st Summer Universiade, and participated in the opening ceremony of the Chengdu Universiade torch relay held in Beijing. They will serve at the Taekwondo venue of Wangjiang Campus during the Chengdu Universiade.

Spring meeting of delegation heads
At the end of March, the Spring Meeting of the Delegation Heads for the 31st Summer Universiade in Chengdu was held. Members of the International University Sports Federation and heads of delegations from five continents gathered in Chengdu to visit and inspect various preparations for the Chengdu Universiade.
SCU selects 102 volunteers with high foreign language proficiency and rich volunteer service experience to serve the conference, undertaking tasks such as escorting delegation attendants, Q&A staff meetings, transportation assistants, and tour guidance.
The volunteers have done a superb job, allowing delegations from various countries and regions to better appreciate the charm of Chengdu.

Volunteer service in the Universiade testing competition
SCU volunteers served at Sichuan Province University Students Taekwondo Tournament held at the Wangjiang Campus Gymnasium from June 9 to 11.
SCU volunteers get familiar with the workflow, undergo work inspections, and strengthen service capabilities during the Universiade testing competition.

Provide service during the torch relay back in Chengdu
The "Ronghuo (Chengdu Fire)" returned to Chengdu, and the torch of the Chengdu Universiade departed from Wangjiang campus, Sichuan University on July 2, marking the first day of relay in Chengdu. A total of 31 torchbearers were selected from Sichuan University to guide volunteers and ensure the smooth progress of the torch relay.
Eight
Serve nine venues and centers
During the games of the Universiade, Sichuan University volunteers will serve 9 venues and work centers, including Dong'an Lake Sports Center, International University Sports Federation Hotel, Universiade Village, Multilingual Service Center, and Sichuan University Wangjiang Taekwondo venue. They will also participate in various volunteer services such as opening ceremony performances, delegation reception, competitions at different venues, and so forth.
